Samsung managed to sell 20 million plus Galaxy S4 smartphone units worldwide by the end of June.
South Korea based leading smartphone making company Samsung had officially introduced its flagship smartphone Galaxy S4 on March 14, 2013. Since then this device has been doing some great businesses over the worldwide smartphone market.

Samsung started to ship Galaxy S4 from the early part of April 2013, and from then it started to attract the smartphone lovers across the world. A recent news report claimed that the electronics giant has managed to ship 20 million plus S4 units by June 30.

It has to be mentioned here that Samsung Galaxy S III had previously taken around 100 days to reach this mark. This simply means its successor is selling at about 1.7 times faster, which means S4 is currently one of the most trending smartphones around.

The news report stated that Samsung has sold a huge 500,000 units in its home base Korea alone. It is a great success in deed, and the company has proved yet again that it is still one of the best smartphone making companies of the world.

Earlier we have published here that Samsung sold 10 million Galaxy S4 units by May 2013. Mr. Mark Sue, who is a leading analyst at RBC Capital Markets, predicted that the global mobile maker will be able to sell around 80 million Galaxy S4 smartphones by the end of 2013. In the same period only 60 million units of its predecessor Samsung Galaxy S III were shipped worldwide by the company.

Samsung Galaxy S4 offers some cool features that no other smartphones in the world are currently having. It is powered by a 1.6GHz Exynos Octa-Core processor for some places and a 1.9GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor in the other places. It has a very large 5 inch AMOLED touchscreen, which provides display resolution of 1080*1920 pixels. It also offers full HD experience, and it features pixel density of 441ppi.

The Galaxy S4 is currently having three different variants of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. It also has a PowerVR SGX544MP3 triple-core GPU and a solid 2GB of RAM to make the experiences even smoother. This smartphone also has an in-built microSD card slot to expand the range of its memory.

It has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front facing camera for video calling facility. The camera of the Galaxy S4 provides some awesome features and tricks including an eraser shot mode, which can be used to remove people from images and a cool application called Cinema Photo. But the best part is it offers a several numbers of sensors including humidity and temperature sensor and gesture and motion control abilities.

Samsung has already launched a few Galaxy S4 variants in the likes of Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom and Samsung Galaxy S4 Active.

Final Words

We think that Samsung managed to sell 20 million Galaxy S4 smartphone units in such a short span because there were no such alternatives to it in the market. Let’s how well it managed to hold the market in the upcoming days as Apple already launched iOS 7 and planning to unveil iPhone 6 very soon. Even the Firefox OS based phones are also already launched in Spain.
